Scalable Installation

California Cash Rebate - The State of California has instituted the largest, most ambitious solar incentive program in the nation. It is offering you, the homeowner, a cash rebate equal to 25-30% of the solar system cost when you install a solar electric system on your home.

Federal Tax Credit - In addition to the state rebate, a Federal tax credit of $2,000 is available for every homeowner who installs a solar system on their residence. This credit applies to your tax liability (or the tax amount owed) for the year the system was installed, and is not merely a tax deduction.

Solar Home Loan - A home equity-based loan for your solar system can help turn a larger upfront cost into smaller monthly loan payments that match your current electric bill. By offsetting your new solar loan with the reduction in your monthly electric bill, you can take advantage of the savings from your solar system without any out-of-pocket expense.

Property Tax Exemption - Solar electric systems are also exempt from property tax in the State of California. This allows you to benefit from the increased property value that you will experience from installing solar on your home without the penalty of taxation.

Grid-tied Photovoltaic Solar system- This system is connected to your utility grid and provides electrical power from the solar panels only when the sun is shining. When the sun is not shining or during the night your system automatically draws power from the utility grid. The addition of batteries to a Grid-tied system provides available electricity if the grid fails. A system including batteries protects circuits such as refrigerators, telephones, alarms, and entertainment circuits. This system provides power for emergency lighting and critical comforts during prolonged electrical outages.

How Net Metering Works -During the day, your Solar Power System returns all surplus electricity back to the utility grid, generating a credit on your bill by spinning the meter backwards. During the night, your system automatically draws back the credited electricity from the grid. This forwards and backwards flow of electricity is completely automatic and provides real savings with an uninterrupted flow of power.

How much do solar power systems cost?-A typical small Grid-tied system handling the majority of the electrical load, usually costs under $15,000 after California state rebates and federal tax incentives. Quickly pay back this amount with your monthly savings! California rebates depend on your electrical utility provider. Currently rates vary from a rebate of $2.20 per installed watt, to more than $4.00 per watt for LADWP customers. Federal tax credit of $2000 can be taken off the top of your income tax for residential customers. Commercial installations receive an additional 30% Federal tax credit and accelerated depreciation on state and federal taxes for the balance. Solar power systems are exempt from property taxes. The value of your house or business increases without additional taxes.

Financing Options are Available!Depending on the size of your down payment, your system may be financed for a monthly payment that is equal to your current monthly electric bill. Thus, fixing the rate you pay for electricity for the term of the financing - after that, your electricity is virtually FREE!
